Moriston Bar

The Bar area along with the reception area dates back to 1740 and forms the origins of the building. A sure indication of 'settling in' over the years is the now famous squinty door frame.

The Grant family owned the Hotel for a couple of hundred years until 1985 when it was sold into private enterprise, but it cannot forget its history and many references to the Grant family remain in the Hotel today.

The old stags head on the wall looks over you as you enter and has welcomed travellers from all over the word for decades. Affectionately known as Angus, he has been the guardian of the bar for over 100 years.

Fast forward a couple of centuries and enjoy the selection of hot and cold drinks on offer. Draught and bottled beers and cider, wine, soft drinks, teas, coffee and hot chocolate. The bar has a small area for dining and a TV

Our speciality is whisky (Scotland's water of life) and we have a large selection of single malts for you to choose from. They say there's a whisky for everyone so please use our unique menu as a guide, if you need one, and maybe you'll find yours!

Situated as we are on the Great Glen Way, The Moriston Bar is a welcome sight at the end of a long days walking. So let your feet take a break, come on in and enjoy the craic.
